FOUR HALLMARKS OF THE BUDDHA'S TEACHINGS

All that is composite is impermanent

Everything defiled is suffering

All phenomena are empty and nonself

Nirvana is peace

Join us for Prajna Fire's second of a four part series bringing fresh encounters with the Buddha into our lived experience. (Future dates to be determined.)

This Daylong Practice Intensive will focus on meeting the Buddha through his teachings on suffering, through guided and individual practice centered on Listening, Contemplating, and Meditating as described in Lama Yeshe's recent article in Buddhadharma: The Practitioners' Guide and our online journal, Prajna Rising

Sessions are dynamic, with interactive discussion and guided meditation. Silence practice is observed during breaks to foster and nourish contemplation.

Preparatory readings, listenings, and practices are an integral part of the program and will be distributed to registrants via email before the Practice Intensive

Silence is required in the teachings/practice space between esessions, and highly recommended throughout the day between sessions in practitioners' homes

Attendance at all sessions is highly recommended

Contemplative presence Kindly arrive 10 minutes before each session to settle in, and observe silence during breaks

No group lunch, to hold space for silence and observe pandemic safety. Please bring your own meal or make alternative plans that best preserve your space of silent practice

This will by an in-person-only retreat

COVID precautions observed, including masking and social distancing as appropriate

Attendance is limited

Recordings will not be available as part of this program

DANA POLICY

Dana is an offering of generosity by the community to the teachers and ordained sangha that keep the Dharma accessible for us all and support the merit ecosystem in which Dharma thrives.

The meritorious practice of dana advances the spiritual progress of the benefactor as it supports access to the Dharma.

Irrespective of amount, motivation for the offering forges meaningful connections knitting the community as a whole together with the positivity and inexhaustible force of merit. Thank you for your offering.

We offer dana to the community in the form of a free registration to anyone who wants one. Simply email us by September 10, 2022 to request a scholarship code to register.
